To use the chart, find your height in inches on the left side. Follow the line across to the green area on the chart. Draw straight lines from the intersection of your height line and the edges of the green region to the bottom of the chart. The weight values from those two lines indicate the ideal weight range for the average person of your height. The ideal weight range for athletes and African Americans will be higher. The ideal weight range for Asian Americans will be lower.
